Talon Winery and Vineyards - Lexington, KY

Comments from Kevin: Yippie! The renovation is finished (Apr 05). Beautiful stone floor for pavillion. Best thing to do is go see it in person...these pictures I took simply don't do Talon justice. Suffice to say, Talon is VERY spacious with wide open views all around. If only there were a few horses around, it would be the perfect Kentucky experience! They supply the tables and chairs. I have a couple of events scheduled this fall at Talon this year and will let you know as soon as I find out more info about them.

Has a small group area (tasting room) and an open-air pavilion with fully equipped kitchen available for rental. Hours: Monday - Thursday from 10am-6pm. Friday and Saturday from 10am-7pm. Free tours and wine tasting daily!

Capacity: 125-150 barn (if seated dinner), open=air pavillion holds 75 people, private tasting room for small dinners 25 people.
Price range: 500 to 3,250
Restrictions: beer and champagne only, have to use a caterer with a liquor license. $25 parking attendent fee. after 7pm for parties of 100 or more, require a security guard at $25/hr.

Driving directions: Follow Tates Creek Road away from town, cross over Man O War. Winery is a couple of miles down the road.
