Weddings at Asbury - Wilmore, KY

Comments from Kevin: Nice chapel on campus for wedding ceremony. Pretty grounds for outside reception. See also High Bridge park and pavillion which is rented out by the city of Wilmore (must be a resident of Jesamine County).

Driving directions: Estes Chapel is less than fifteen miles from Lexington. Directions are from the Lexington Bluegrass Airport: 1. Turn right out of the airport on Man-O-War. 2. Pass the Lexington Bluegrass Airport and a high school. You will come to the Harrodsburg Road intersection. 3. Turn right onto Harrodsburg Road (KY 68). Go about 14 miles. 4. KY 29 will join KY 68 for less than a mile. 5. Follow KY 29 as it goes straight at the fork (there will be a flashing yellow light with a Marathon gas station at the fork). This is a dangerous intersection! Oncoming traffic has the right-of-way. Continue on KY 29 into Wilmore. 6. Go straight through the first traffic light. 7. Take the first left after the light (onto Gillespie Street). Go straight at the first stop sign (but proceed slowly) and then take an immediate left into a large gravel parking lot. This is the closest and largest parking lot for guests on campus. 8. After parking your car, walk back up Gillespie Street (the way you came), and take a left onto North Lexington Avenue (the main road through town). Estes Chapel will be the third building on your left.
