Congrats! (June 26, 2007)
Michael and Judy's wedding and reception was held at Chrisman Mill Winery in Nicholasville, KY. It was an easy-going affair of 25 people or so. Played piano for the ceremony and then a touch during the reception until it rained, at which point we went with music on the laptop because there wasn't any room inside to put the piano. Nice group of people. Jackie Johnson was their official photographer and the catering was done in-house. Jackie is an absolute hoot! First wedding had worked with her. The food was very good, but not the stellar quality that I had experienced back at Ashley and Drew's reception last summer. Check out the video footage below of the little ones and the butterflies...it was a precious moment! Let me know if you'd like to speak with Michael and Judy as a reference.
Kristin and Justin were also married on June 23 at the Sheraton. Good dancing group and energy!
Have a great week everyone, and congrats on your weddings! -kev

Kids & Butterflies (June 24, 2007)
Short little scene from one of Saturday's weddings at Chrisman Mill Winery in Nicholasville. The kids stole the show. Enjoy! -kev
Disappearing emails (June 19, 2007)
Just a reminder...for some reason, a few people do not receive my emails (guessing they get filtered by their ISP or mine). If you haven't received a reply within a day, please pick up the phone and let me know you were trying to reach me. My personal cell is 859-536-8245 (which is the most reliable way to contact me). Have a *great* week! -kev
Amber and Steve (June 19, 2007)
Congrats to Amber and Steve! They were married this past Saturday at Fasig Tipton farm. Perfect day all around. Drop me a line if you need more info or would like to speak to the mother of the bride about any vendors they used. Fasig did the catering (meal was perfect), Martine did two perfect cakes, Matt Barton was the photographer, and I played the piano, provided a PA for the outdoor ceremony, and DJ'd the reception.

Amy and Nick (June 16, 2007)
Congrats to Amy and Nick! Another nice easy-going wedding ceremony and reception at the Bell House last night. Sam Sears provided catering and Natalie Hagen was the photographer (this photo is just my little point and shoot).

Ballerina Girl (June 16, 2007)

Listen in... (June 09, 2007)
Last night was a lot of fun. First job worked with my new friend Matt on acoustic bass -nice player! Here's a recording of the first set raw and uncut (dinner music).
Looking forward to this afternoon and evening at the Red Mile Round barn. The weather is looking *spectacular*. I'll be playing the ceremony outside on the lawn (piano), then my jazz quartet is doing the cocktail and dinner hour inside the Round Barn. My new friend Matt is on bass and my first call drummer and sax player are joining us as well. DJ'ing afterwards. We will also be filming and putting together a video highlights of LeAnne and Stephen's whole wedding day. Excited about this one. Enjoy the weather today! view page »
Cortney and Chadd (June 05, 2007)
Monticello was quite a long drive (2 1/2 hours), but worth the trip. Their ceremony was at the First Christian Church in downtown Monticello and the reception was at a lodge near the lake. Sam Sears staff provided catering (flawless) and I believe Purdon's did the tent. Congrats Cortney and Chadd!

Kate and Aaron (June 04, 2007)
Congrats to Kate and Aaron! First time we had been to Lover's Leap in Lawrenceburg. Pretty vineyard and a nice country drive. My friend Cheryl Tolbert sang for the ceremony and did a fantastic job on Steven Curtis Chapman's I Will Be Here for the unity candle. We also had a trumpet player for the ceremony along with myself on piano. Cheryl is such a wonderful vocalist...she also sang Etta James At Last as well as a bunch of other jazz standards with our trio.

Couple more... (June 01, 2007)
Brandi and Steve (April 28th) sent a note this past week and some photos from their wedding are on Angela's blog. Also stumbled across Samantha and Luis's card today (sorry forgot to post it you guys!)...ack, from Feb 24...

Encouragement (May 22, 2007)
Two new testimonials came in today. Interestingly, they both said similar things... "Keep doing what you are doing!" We all need encouragement from time to time, and it was great to get the affirmation. Thank you Crystal, David, Brandy and Nick! -kev

Martine's Pastries (May 14, 2007)
Today we wrapped up filming Jim, Martine, Mat, Chelsea, and Cynthia over at Martine's pastries. It has been a lot of fun watching them work and play behind the scenes this past week! I'm in the process of editing the footage and composing some custom score music for the documentary which will be available on this web site and theirs soon.

Happy Mother's day! (May 12, 2007)
Cute little video we shot this past week in Richmond. Enjoy! -kev
Congrats! (May 02, 2007)
Brandi and Steve were married on April 28, 2007 at Talon Winery. Super nice couple and a gracious family as well! It was quite a lot of work playing piano for the ceremony, having our jazz quartet for the cocktail and dinner portions of the reception, and then DJ'ing the rest of the event. We could not have pulled it off without the help of Kristen Settles (Creme Planning). The fabulous Angela Anderson provided photography services, the delightful DaRae Marcum providing catering, Martine did a fabulous job on their cupcake tree of course!

We've got flip flops! (April 30, 2007)

Winter in April? (April 08, 2007)
Kentucky weather is just plain weird. Here is some footage I shot at Talon this past week when I went out there with one of my brides to scout the location for her wedding. It was sunny, 80 plus, and windy! Our next event there is on April 28th (private wedding) with our jazz quartet/dj service...more to come. Enjoy! -kev
Congrats to Amber and James! (April 07, 2007)
Another nice testimonial came in this week...Sherree and Tim Walker (parents of the bride from Mar 31st). -kev

Samantha and Luis (February 24, 2007)
Authentic latin and salsa music; I simply love the energy of this music! Samantha and Luis were married at Southland Christian Church on Feb 24, 2007 and their reception was held at Equestrian Woods Clubhouse. I didn't realize it until I spoke with Samantha's mother, but she substituted for my mom at James Lane Allen Elementary during her last year. It was great to be able to talk with her.

Feedback (February 15, 2007)
I love my job! It is great getting unexpected feedback from people -very encouraging. Today this card came in from Elaine Cook. -kev

What would you like to hear? (January 30, 2007)
Anyone have some suggestions on what you'd like to see demonstrated on piano? Perhaps some traditional or alternative selections for prelude music, the wedding party, the bride, or the recessional? Send in your suggestions and I'll make a short video at the piano...thanks! -kev

Crawford Middle School (December 19, 2006)
My friend Cheryl is directing the school play tonight (Tues Dec 19th) at Crawford Middle School here in Lex. It starts at 7pm. Cheryl is a very inspiring person and I can't wait to see how the kids have responded to her. I'm sure it is going to be a great performance. I'm also looking forward to it as it will be my first multi-camera shoot as a videographer. Thanks everyone for the encouragement on continuing this videocraft! More to come in the new year. Have a *fantastic* Christmas! -kev
